Thalys LH is a very well build mare out of excellent jumping horses. She is sired bij Numero Uno (Libero H, Landgraf I) and dam Diane fan é Suderwei (Zapatero VDL, Chin Chin).

Sire: Numero Uno

The sire of Numero Uno is Libero H (by Landgraf I). Libero H and Jos Lansink won the World Cup Final in Den Bosch in a phenomenal way in 1994. Numero Uno won his aptitude test. He received a 9 for the canter and scored an average of 8.5 for the jumping parts. Characteristic is his print, technique and quality. The dam’s line goes back via the foundation stallion Farnese to the mare Fernsicht (by Ladykiller xx), a full sister of the well-known showjumping horse  Lorenz (Holsteiner lineage 429).

After a successful sport career under European champion Marco Kutscher, the preferred Numero Uno has developed into one of the most prominent stallions in global breeding with an unprecedented number of 1.60m Grand Prix winners and Olympic horses. Just a few examples are Tamino, Tyson, Uno de la Roque, Chameur and own Van Gogh, grandiose winner of GCT Valkenswaard, LA Masters and Hong Kong Masters.

Numero Uno, father of many approved stallions and champions at home and abroad, has also produced many successful sport horses. The total profit of his direct and indirect breeding products already exceeds 10 Million Euro!

Dam: Diane fan é Suderwei

The sire of Diane is Zapatero. Zapatero’s dam is the elite and sports mare Manieta, who jumped internationally under the name Brugman’s Princes and became National Champion of the 4-year-old show jumpers. Grandmother is the performance mare Anita, she is also the dam of the international showjumper Orlando.

Zapatero was reserve champion of the stallion selection as a 3-year-old. As a 4-year-old he became reserve champion of the stallion competition. As a 7-year-old he was a finalist in the VION Cup and 2nd in the final of the Youngster Tour in Geesteren.
Under Jessica Kürten, Zapatero won the Grand Prix of the KWPN Stallion Selection and the VHO trophy. They achieved a number of impressive international results including: 6th GP Ebreichsdorf, 7th in the Championat of Salzburg, 8th GP Oliva and 10th in the Zurich World Cup Qualifier. Under Robert Vos, Zapatero won the Medium Tour final of Wierden, there was a victory during the CSI de Wolden and he became 7th in the ‘Championat von Kiel’.
Zapatero’s offspring attract attention at competitions. They show a lot of reflexes, technique, commitment and scope and the first offspring jump at Grand Prix level. Eldorado won the Grand Prix of Mullinger, Ziro Percent was 3rd in the Grand Prix of Wiener Neustadt and 4th in the GP of Ising am Chiemsee, E Sweet Melodie D was 5th in the Grand Prix of Montpellier. Joe Zapatero won in Offenburg and Dhi Zulu was 2nd in Bromont. Datero was 6th in the Grand Prix of Knokke, Dyango VDL5th in the GP Treffen and 6th in the GP Vestfold. Don Juan H won the Nations Cup against Ciekocinko. Fascinating Fortuna won classes for 7-year-olds in Valkenswaard and Opglabbeek.
Also placed at international competitions are: Datero H, Eppo G, Ellie 14, Enfant de Kimosa, Ecinthe VDL, Faroso W, Fascinating Fortuna, Fleur, Joe Zapatero etc.
Fernando V became reserve champion at the World Championships for 6-year-olds in Lanaken. Elrito was 2nd in the championship for 7-year-old showjumpers of the American West Coast, as a 5-year-old he was already 3rd. Eldorado won the Cavan Indoor Championship for 6 & 7 year olds in Ireland. In 2014 Eesebelle became Dutch champion of the 5-year-old show jumpers. Das Mooi Man won the championship for 5-year-olds and for 6-year-olds of the American West Coast. Maximus won the East Coast 5-Year-Old Championship. Dillandra won the East Coast 5-Year-Old Championship in 2013. In Belgium, Donna became champion of the 4-year-old show jumpers in 2013.
Zapatero offspring are selling well at auctions: VDL Freedom LAN was sold for $175,000 in the WEF Sport Horse Auction 2016, Egmond W was sold for €80,000 in the Wolden Summer Sale 2015. In the DSHS 2015, Fascinating Fortuna was sold for €68,000 and Zapco of the 2 Notes Z for €58,000. In the DSHS 2014, Ferimain TH was one of the auction toppers with €235,000.

His daughters are easily declared ‘star’ and ‘keur’ at studbook inspections. Going for Gold got a top score of 83 points for her EPTM test and Klarenchideé was 6th in the final of the National Foal Inspection. Jackpot won the Geert Meursing Wisseltrophy for three-year-old show jumpers in Delft.
